first enter the lobby you will immediately notice the relaxed, soothing
environment designed to start the healing process at a sensory level.
At the Art
of Chiropractic, our mission is to provide complimentary care to help
the body’s innate desire to be healthy. While providing guidance in proper
nutrition, exercise and positive mental attitude our aim is to bring health and
prosperity to the canvas of life for the whole family.
Patients typically visit the
Art of Chiropractic for the first time through a personal reference or as a
referral of another health care specialist, though increasingly potential patients
are finding us online at www.aocdoc.com.
The main goal of the
first visit is to determine if we can help you relieve and or correct the
condition you present with.
The purpose of your
pre-care consultation is to discuss your health goals and see if you’re a good
candidate for chiropractic care. If it looks promising, a thorough examination
will help us identify the likely cause of your problem.Because we value your time, the paper work
required to gather all necessary information is provided on this website. Though
not necessary, to save time you may fill out the forms in advanced.
Before any treatment can take place, we are concerned with the
question of what exactly is the underlying cause of your condition.
Answering this question is accomplished through a series of
diagnostic testing procedures. Postural analysis is a starting point that often
highlights areas of concern. Evaluating structure and function is another of
the procedures that makes the Art of Chiropractic different from some other offices.
This part of the visit will focus on seeing how your joints, muscles and nerves
are functioning both individually and together and may include neurological and
orthopedic tests as well as a functional movement analysis.
Your spine is a series of moveable joints that begin at the base
of the skull and end at the pelvis. Pairs of spinal nerves exit the spine
through a series of openings, which then go on to form a complicated network of
peripheral nerves that influence every living tissue in your body. Improperly
positioned or functioning joints are called subluxations and create pressure on
the nervous system and can affect every aspect of our health and may be
contributing to your current condition.
Once testing is complete you will be provided with a complete explanation
of the findings and a working diagnosis from which a care plan can be
determined in complete alignment with your goals. Our goal is to determine if
you are in the right place to get the care you need. If it is determined that
you are not a candidate for
chiropractic care, every effort will be made to get you the care that you
require through another health care provider.
If it is determined that
chiropractic can help, treatment of the condition by chiropractic adjustment
will begin. The Art of chiropractic uses various adjustment techniques from low
force instrument adjusting to manual adjusting and soft tissue techniques to
reduce the subluxation and restore the spine to as normal a position as
possible. Thus the adjustment is our way of reducing vertebral subluxations,
thereby restoring more normal nerve pulse flow to the body. All care is
tailored to the individual. We have had patients ranging from newborns to the
elderly and look forward to helping your family and their particular needs.
